A Few Words From Sedbergh and District Motor Cycle Club ..

Sedbergh & District Mcc

A family & friends orientated club.

Sedbergh & district motorcycle club is a recently reformed trials club set up by some family and friends in 2021. All of us keen trials riders and having helped run other trials clubs in the past years, we thought it would be time to shake things up a little by offering something a little different then just a ride around on a Sunday.

When approached by Brian in 2021, if we would be interested in putting on a trials display for the Hells fells festival, it was a decision that didn’t take a lot of thinking about, and one we were very much happy to accept. Our main objective within this was to demonstrate the friendliness that has brought so many of us together over the past decade and to move that forward with the children of today. As with out them the sport will be no longer move forward. We had a couple of the up-and-coming youths with us on this weekend, Cameron Batty & James clegg, with the help of a spirited crowd, and the adults help they put on a fantastic display on electric trials bikes in very very damp conditions.

Moving forward, to the 2022 festival our objective hasn’t changed, and we are very much looking forward to bringing you a great display, in hopefully a little drier condition. We are already planning a different lay out, so the riders have a different challenge, On the youth side we are gaining a lot of interest and, will hopefully have 5-6 quality youths to show you what they have been learning throughout the last year.

Last year’s winners Tom Swindlehurst (Adult) & Cameron Batty (Youth,) have already confirmed they are looking to retain their trophies, so please come along to both our displays in the trials arena at 10.00-12.00 and 14.00-16.00.

Remember this is about a fun filled weekend, earning money for a fantastic charity and one the club is happy to support in any way we can. Remember the main objective we support is IT’S A HAND UP NOT A HANDOUT.

Regards

Carl Batty
