Kids Adventure Training

Outline

COVID-19 has impacted families nationwide.  Social isolation has become normal and the associated difficulties have incubated.

Hells Fells 2020 starts with a week of adventure training for the children of our serving and former armed forces and emergency service personnel with the aim of providing a respite short break for the parents and a week of action packed activity for the children in the middle of summer holidays.

Arrival & Dispersal

All participants are requested to arrive by 1400hrs on Monday 10th Aug 20.  Dispersal will be 1800hrs on Thu 13th Aug 20 although families and children are welcome to stay until 14th Aug 20 if it makes travel easier.

Camping

All visitors will camp at the farm in the Yorkshire Dales.  Where possible, we are encouraging parents to camp with their children.  Where this is not possible the children will camp (socially distant) in a group tent, supervised by the training team.

Juniors & Disabled

Children up to the age of 11 will have their own program for the week, this will include farm visits to feed the animals, a nature trail, den building, swimming and cooking.

This program will also be modified for disabled children to promote maximum participation.
